‘War Room’ Resources

battle plan“The Battle Plan for Prayer”, “Fervent”, “This Means War” and “Peter’s Perfect Prayer Place” are awesome resources inspired by the #1 movie, “War Room”.

“The Battle Plan for Prayer” written by Stephen Kendrick and Alex Kendrick is designed to help anyone become a person of prayer.  From the basics of prayer to targeted strategies, you will learn prayer tactics to help you become a prayer warrior.  Whether you have seen the movie or not, this book will help you develop your own prayer plan.  The appendix offers valuable resources for building and maintaining a prayer plan and creating a prayer ministry.  God can accomplish a lot through our prayers.  He desires for us to build a relationship with Him through prayer.

“The Battle Plan for Prayer” is an excellent resource for your personal prayer time, or as a group study on prayer.  It is a great gift idea for a young Christian or anyone who desires to improve their prayer life.

FerventPriscilla Shirer starred in “War Room” as a wife who is fighting for her marriage and her family.  She learns that Satan can be defeated through the power of prayer.  “Fervent”, written by Shirer, is an action guide to purposeful prayer.  Each chapter exposes a place where Satan attacks us every day.  Shirer sets out a battle plan for specific, strategic prayer that will defeat our enemy decisively.  We do not have to live in defeat.  Victory is ours through prayer.

“Fervent” is a unique resource for women that will be used over and over again.  The Call to Prayer at the end of each chapter, along with the Bible verses, help us develop our own prayers and teach us how we are to pray in a particular circumstance.

war“This Means War”, by Stephen Kendrick and Alex Kendrick with Troy Schmidt, is a strategic prayer journal designed to teach teens how to develop their own prayer life.  Teens will learn the importance of prayer, how to pray, what to pray for and how to journal their prayers.  It will reinforce what they are learning in church and help them develop a lifelong habit of prayer.

If you are the parent of a teenager or have a special teen in your life, this prayer journal will make an excellent gift.  Each chapter builds on the lessons taught in the previous chapter.  By the time the book is completed, your teen will have a great start in maintaining an active and intentional prayer life.

prayer place“Peter’s Perfect Prayer Place”, by Stephen Kendrick and Alex Kendrick and illustrated by Daniel Fernandez, invites young readers to join Peter as he searches for his perfect place to pray.  He discovers that no matter where he is, God is there ready to listen.  Children will learn an important lesson about talking to God.  The foldout prayer poster and stickers are a unique tool incorporated into the book to help children keep track of their prayers and God’s answers.

I enjoyed the artwork as much as I appreciated the story.  Children will enjoy reading along and learning how to pray and talk to God.
