The power of seated living

Seated with Christ: Living Freely in a Culture of ComparisonAre you constantly comparing yourself to others?  Do you envy those who have success where you’ve experienced only failure?  Does our culture of comparison take the wind out of your sails, leaving you searching for a place at the table, or any table for that matter?

Heather Holleman knows what it’s like to search for a seat at a table that seems to be constantly in motion.  In “Seated With Christ”, she shows us that we already have a seat at the best table–Christ’s table. We all have the best seat in the house when we choose to abide in Christ.

Because we are seated with Christ, right now, we can enjoy the successes of others without considering them our failures.  We don’t have to envy others’ good fortunes because we have our own seat, the one God has chosen specifically for us.  Holleman does an excellent job of demonstrating what this looks like in our life. No matter what is happening around us, God has been just as good to us.  We can celebrate with others while being content with our own circumstances.

If you want to live a life that matters, “Seated With Christ” is a resource you will turn to again and again for encouragement. We don’t have to do more. We just have to be in the presence of God and be available to His leading.  Abide in Christ, sit at the table and live freely.
