‘Imperfect Justice’ a book to devour

Product DetailsKaylene Adams killed her daughter and then was shot by police. But her attorney and her brother don’t believe it even though the video of the incident made it seem obvious to everyone else.  Even though her supervisor demands that she give up working on the case, Emilie Wesley wants answers and to prove that her deceased client is innocent and help Kaylene’s brother gain custody of the surviving child.

This legal thriller is the second in the Hidden Justice series, but I had no trouble reading it even though I have not read “Beyond Justice”, the first book in the series.  It was my first exposure to Cara Putman’s work, and I was not disappointed.  It grabbed my attention and kept me involved in Emilie’s story.  I was impressed with the characters.  At first, the subject matter of abuse angered me and I was not happy  but not surprised by the way Kaylene’s story played out in the beginning.  It was an exciting book from start to finish.  The romance, the tension, the suspense all make “Imperfect Justice” a book to devour.
