Recipes for the heart and the table

breadThe smell of bread baking is the smell of love and comfort.  Jesus calls Himself the Bread of Life.  Can this be a coincidence?

Karen Whiting, author of “The Gift of Bread”, found that breads of all kinds can bring comfort and love and a way to share her faith with her family and friends.  Her book includes inspirational stories as well as delicious bread recipes for all kinds of breads.  Not only does she share recipes, she discusses how bread relates to our faith and how it can be used to spread the Gospel.  All kinds of breads are included and you don’t need a bread machine for most of them.

If you’ve never been a break baker, Whiting gives step-by-step instructions and shares her bread-baking tips.  “The Gift of Bread” is a great gift to give any cook on your gift list or a wedding gift for a special bride.
