Asking God for the things girls need most–‘Praying for Girls’

praying for girlsAs a mom of daughters, I know they need prayer, but I don’t often know what or how to pray for them.  Times have certainly changed from my teenage years and my daughters’ needs are different from mine and from each other.  They both do, though, need to know where to find their strength and security, pursue a life of love, grow in wisdom and discernment, foster healthy relationships and trust God with their life.

Teri Lynne Underwood’s “Praying for Girls” includes wonderful prayers to pray with your daughter not just alone.  The girl talk sessions suggest activities for you to participate in with your daughter that will help you and her develop a meaningful time of discussion about prayer and other issues she may be facing.  This will be a treasured time together bonding with prayer.
