Pacemakers are supposed to save lives….

Deep ExtractionA pacemaker is supposed to save lives not cause someone’s death.  But someone used Nathan Moore’s pacemaker to conduct an almost perfect execution.  If there hadn’t been a bombing at one of Nathan’s oil rigs several days prior, his death might not have been so suspicious.

Special Agent Tori Templeton is called to the scene.  She must unravel the truth even if it means her best friend, Sally, Nathan’s wife is the murderer.

Deputy U.S. Marshal Cole Jeffers is a friend of Nathan’s and also wants to clear Sally and himself.  Together, Tori and Cole discover that there are several suspects who were more than willing and capable of taking care of Nathan–a jilted lover, a betrayed wife, disgruntled employee and a former partner.

The closer they get to the truth, the more danger they find themselves in.

DiAnn Mills’ “Deep Extraction” is an exciting read filled with suspense.  Her characters are well-developed and it is easy to get wrapped up in their dialogue.  It is hard not to skip ahead to see what happens, but don’t.
