Creating a beautiful marriage

beautiful-marriageMarriage can be hard, but it can also be beautiful.  Discovering lifelong love, joy and intimacy in marriage is what we all want to do. However, it means bringing two people with different ideas, backgrounds and family dynamics together and expecting them to be able to live in harmony with each other.  No matter how in love two people are living together can bring out the worst or the best in them.

Dorothy Littell Greco, author of “Making Marriage Beautiful“, equips men and women to create a beautiful marriage through real-life examples of what to do as well as what not to do.  Instead of trying to force our spouse to change, we should be focusing on allowing Christ to change us.  By doing so, we are filled with joy and enjoy a flourishing marriage.

By using examples from her own marriage and the marriages of eight couples, Greco demonstrates how to create an intimate, loving relationship with our spouse and how to resolve conflicts and issues without resorting to ineffective methods that only cause more hurt and pain.

Each chapter also includes a going deeper section with questions for individual reflection or group discussion.  A great small group study for couples, “Making Marriage Beautiful” will foster productive discussions and healthy dialogue between spouses.
