We can stop trying so hard

nothing-to-proveHave you ever volunteered to do something you didn’t have time for or weren’t gifted to do, or just plain didn’t want to because you were afraid of what someone would say about you?

Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the expectations of others and weighed down with thoughts of not being good enough?  Jennie Allen invites us into a new way of thinking in “Nothing to Prove”, a book that helps us find freedom from self-induced pressure to be enough when we aren’t–Jesus is.  It’s nice to do things WITH God instead of for Him.  When we begin filtering our activities through the simplicity of knowing and loving Jesus, we can finally experience what He can do in and through us.

What if we finally let God be enough and stopped trying so hard to prove something to ourselves.  It is time to let go of ourselves.  Let God be God in our lives which frees us from over-achieving and being overwhelmed.

Thanks to Allen, we no longer have anything to prove. Using the book of John, Allen helps us to see God in a different way through her stories based on Bible events in John and the experience guide to help us focus on our relationship with God.  Her book is inspirational, encouraging and very freeing if we take her message to heart.

“Nothing to Prove” will be available for purchase on January 31, 2017.  You can pre-order on
