Mixing Shakespeare and the Bible makes a great devotional

Adobe Photoshop PDFCombining the timeless classics of William Shakespeare and the God’s Word (KJV Version), “The Bard and the Bible” takes 365 lines from Shakespeare’s plays and 365 passages of Scripture and mixes them to create an epic devotional.

Fans of Shakespeare will thoroughly enjoy the way Bob Hostetler weaves Scripture with Shakespeare’s work giving us an original and unique devotional that offers insightful wisdom and entertainment for 365 days of the year.

I appreciated Hostetler’s explanations and footnotes and how he tied the Scripture in with the Bard’s famous works. This is a devotional that will definitely be read more than once. There is no doubt in my mind that you will encounter God in a new and exciting way through this inspiring combination. I was surprised by how much wisdom can be found in Shakespeare’s plays and once I saw it next to Scripture, it was amazing. Hostetler’s insight in bringing them together is impressive.
