Fast-paced unpredictable thriller by Lisa Harris

missing“Missing” is another notch in Lisa Harris’ romantic suspense belt as book two of The Nikki Boyd Files begins with two murdered men, a missing couple and a boat belonging to Tyler Grant, the widowed husband of Nikki’s best friend.

As the pieces of the mystery begin to unfold, the relationship between Nikki and Tyler becomes more complicated as she must find a way to protect him and his son from the danger he is in.

Nikki’s role on the Missing Persons Task Force keeps her busy solving missing persons cases while also searching for her sister who disappeared ten years ago at the hands of the Angel Abductor.  As the case involving Tyler comes to a resolution, new clues in her sister’s case come to light and she is warned to stop looking.

I love the Nikki Boyd character.  She is determined and focused.  She cares about finding the missing because she knows what it’s like to be left behind wondering what happened.  I only hope that Lisa Harris does not draw out the resolution of what happened to Nikki’s sister too much longer.  Drawn out too much longer the lack of a resolution will cause me to become frustrated and lose interest.
