Winning the battle

warfareThe Enemy (Satan) wants to steal, kill and destroy. He wants nothing more than the hurt us and those we love.  “Spiritual Warfare for  Your Family” is a practical guide to protect yourself and your family from the attacks of Satan.

Leighann McCoy’s book is not just about protecting your children.  Her book is filled with why prayer is important, how to pray, where to look for help in the Scriptures, and it is complete with practical help for anyone, married or single, or whether you have children or not.  If you are influential in a child’s life or have a special relationship with a child, this book is a necessity.  Part 5 is really the only section that deals specifically with children–each chapter in this part covers every stage of a child’s life.  The other five parts contain wisdom and guidance for you no matter what stage of life you are in.

“Spiritual Warfare for Your Family” is an excellent resource on dealing with the enemy, prayer and warfare.  Each chapter ends with questions to consider and the last section deals with common issues families face.  She also mentions several additional items you can access on her website to help you during your prayer times.

This book is a must-have for anyone’s library. I will be reading it again and again and using McCoy’s resources in my prayer and study time.  It will be a valuable and vital resource for your prayer time as well.
