Are you looking for fulfillment in all the wrong places?

longing“The Longing In Me” takes us on a journey into the biblical story of King David and shows us how our longings and desires can have us going around in circles if we aren’t looking for fulfillment in God.  Sheila Walsh, author, talks openly about her struggles and trials and how she has learned that her longings, if not centered on God and godly things, can lead her into sin and emptiness.

Each chapter discusses a different longing that women have at one time or another.  She talks about how we can fulfill our longings when we search and find the heart of God.

Oh, how this book spoke volumes into my heart.  Sheila may not be going through the same things you are, but her book will reach into your soul and draw out the things that have been struggling to reach the surface.  You may not even know you have certain longings, but deep down inside they are waiting to come out.  When they do, “The Longing in Me” will help you see them for what they are.

Walsh’s honesty and openness about her struggles encourages us in our own.  Her willingness to show her vulnerability helps those of us who are longing for control when what we need is dependence on God.
