Creating Eternal Impact in the Here and Now

powerGod created us to influence the world around us, not to be influenced by our culture.  He didn’t create us to hide from the world because of its bad influence, but to shine a light into the darkness.  We hold a power within us that can impact our culture.  We just have to believe and trust in God and take hold of His power and wisdom.  So says Bill Johnson in “The Power that Changes the World”.

In his book, Johnson explains the power God gives to us in order to make an eternal impact on the world around us and how to use it.  He talks about the importance of making an impact and why it is so important to live our lives in the world rather than secluded from it.  Though not always easy, it is tempting to make choices that keep us away from the darkness in the world.  However, our purpose can only be fulfilled by living out our Christian walk among those who do not know Jesus.

Johnson’s book is well worth reading.  His unique perspective will make you think about your purpose and the ways your choices impact culture here and now.
