“War Room” is the novelization of the Kendrick Brothers’ new film of the same name. Tony and Elizabeth Jordan have it all including a failing marriage. Things are looking hopeless until Elizabeth meets Miss Clara, a widow who is selling her house to move in with her son. Elizabeth takes her on as a client and learns about the power of prayer in the meantime.
While Elizabeth deals with bitterness and resentment, Tony is flirting with temptation and holding some resentment of his own. Chris Fabry did an excellent job with character development and putting the action of the film on paper. He makes you excited about the upcoming film (to be released in theaters on August 28, 2015). The movie promises to be one of the best Kendrick Brothers screenplays so far.
Reading the book raises the anticipation for the movie. I can’t wait to see the characters come to life. If you or someone you know is experiencing marital troubles and struggling to find hope in their marriage, this movie and/or book is a must. You will be glad you made the effort.
