“Group Hug”: A Bible Study with no homework

group hug“The No-Homework Women’ Bible Study: Group Hug” is an eight-week study covering a variety of topics designed to stimulate group discussion.  You can evaluate yourself and receive encouragement from others.  It is more of a leader’s guide used to facilitate discussion and encourage others to relate to each other.

There are optional weekly personal challenges that will help you apply what you learn during group discussion.  Since the study varies from week to week, a participant can miss a week without worrying about catching up or missing something.  It can just as easily be used as a monthly study rather than a weekly one and following the school months with a break for the holidays.

The study is more of a devotional and is great for a less intimidating way to experience fellowship.  For those looking for an in-depth study or deep reflections, this study will not satisfy.  However, if you are looking for ways to get those who are hesitant about joining new groups or who are intimidated by detailed study with daily homework, it is great.  There are several available titles and others are coming soon including one on hot topics.  Christine Tate has done an excellent job choosing topics and writing the study.
