God’s Word for our world–Full-color NKJV Study Bible from Thomas Nelson

Modern Life Study BibleFeatures of  “The Modern Life Study Bible” , published by Thomas Nelson,  include:  Book Introductions, Focus Articles, Insight Articles, Personal Profiles, Place Profiles and Life Studies.  Themes to Study are listed in the back which will help you apply God’s Word to your life.  I especially liked the Book Titles based on the theme of the book. The color and graphics are enticing and draw you in to the page.  Sprinkled throughout are profiles (Life Studies) of Christians such as  Susanna Wesley, Daniel Defoe, Charles Spurgeon and many more who led inspiring lives and are examples of how we can also apply God’s Word to our life.

Upon purchase, you can download free Bible Study tools.  It has become popular for publishers to include articles, profiles, etc., in addition to the footnotes and commentaries.  If you like this new fad, this is one of the better ones.  However, if you just like the footnotes and commentaries, you may find the weight of this one cumbersome.  The book introductions are interesting and informative.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from Shelton Interactive, as part of their Book Review Blogger Program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255: “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.”
