Do you want to change?

Lord Change meJames MacDonald asks this question five different ways in his invitation at the beginning of his book, “Lord Change Me”.  The intention of this book is to help people transform—“a kind of do-it-yourself surgery”.  It is about becoming radically different. It involves work on our part.  If you really desire to change, MacDonald’s guidance can help you discover “the areas in your life that need change, the biblical process for change, and the power behind lasting change.”

A mere reading of “Lord Change Me” is not enough.  It must be processed.  Studied. Worked.  Each chapter will take about an hour to read and work through the exercises.  Properly completed, you should recognize some noticeable differences in your life.  Skipping over the work will only result in wasting your time.  If you aren’t serious about making changes in your life to be obedient to God, then this book isn’t for you.  If you truly desire to follow God’s plan for your life, this book will be an invaluable resource to help you achieve the joy that God intends for your life.

James MacDonald is the founding and senior pastor of Harvest Bible Chapel in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.  He can be heard on Walk in the Word, a daily radio program.
