Yes. God’s most powerful word

Gospel of YesDo you believe that God limits you to a life of rules with the word don’t in them?  Or, on the other hand, do you believe God liberates you into a life of being the person He created you to be?  In “The Gospel of Yes”, Mike Glenn introduces us to the power of God’s yes and how, once you hear it, your life will be transformed.

If all Christians lived in God’s yes, the world would be full of energetic, enthusiastic and exciting people who were living in the fulfillment of God’s unique purpose for their lives.  I can only imagine what the world could become if we stopped limited God to no and opening our eyes to all of His yeses.

Glenn’s book is filled with quotable quotes—those you want to share with others because they are thought-provoking or inspiring.  One of my favorites is “The biblical directive for all Christians is to follow Christ, not just to oppose the world.  You can’t live a life of substance by living against.”  This quote is so indicting of our Christian society today.  We are speaking out against lots of things, but are offering people the love Christ so often spoke of in the gospels?  If we continue to pronounce what we are against, people may not hear God’s most powerful word and miss out on an opportunity to live in relationship with God.

A great book for a book club or small group, “The Gospel of Yes” includes a discussion guide to help you go into a deeper study.  Click here for a sample chapter.  Visit the website for more information about Mike Glenn and his ministry.
