Believing God for the impossible

Steven Furtick received a call from God and chose to take Him at His Word. In “Sun Stand Still”, Furtick is challenging readers to do the same.  Using Joshua 10:12 when Joshua prays and asks God to make the sun stand still so that the Israelites can defeat the Amorites, Furtick tells us that we can all use the sun stand still prayer for our needs.

This book is not about using a formula to get God to do your bidding.  It is, however, a way to honor God through your faith.  It is also a perfect way to build an extraordinary relationship with God.  I was pleased that he added a chapter about when your prayers aren’t answered the way you want instead of leading people to believe that you can pray a certain way and believe wholeheartedly and God will answer the prayers.
