A boy, a goat and a traveling evangelist change one town for good

I took a short visit to Corinthia Falls and wish I could stay and live in the town with all my new friends, Timber, TJ, Ant and Becks.  Kim Hutson has delivered a story so vivid and real it’s hard to believe it’s only fiction.  The town of Corinthia Falls is a composite of all the small towns surrounding Lake Tenkiller where he lives.

“Corinthia Falls” follows the story of Timber Oaks, Thomas (TJ) Johnson and Anthony (Ant) Bearkiller as they, with the help of the Colonel Pavlos Lincoln Armstrong and his dog Silas, train for the purpose for which God has designed them.  Beginning with the miraculous change of the town while the three soon-to-be missionaries are seniors in high school and ending with the fulfillment of their mission as outlined by the Colonel, the story captures the imagination and leaves you yearning for what the town of Corinthia Falls discovered—the true story of God’s love and the focus of life here on Earth.

What began as a practical joke started a revival in the small town of Corinthia Falls, Oklahoma.  A mischievous family out to harm the small church already divided between the stoic “setters” and the charismatic “standers” let loose a red billy goat while yelling, “repent, repent, ye sinners, or ye will turn into a goat!”

This incident, along with a traveling evangelist and a bear-like dog, turned the church and the town upside down never to be the same again.  The Colonel (nicknamed Paul) and Silas use unorthodox methods to change the townspeople and congregation for good. The town, with the help of Paul, Silas and Timothy, changes as it takes its focus off of itself and uses the talents and resources of the townspeople to help those in need.

You will laugh hysterically and cry tenderly as you walk through life with the people of Corinthia Falls.  The book opens with three boys in high school and ends 30 or so years later as they are fulfilling their life mission.  You will see the ministry they became involved with in their teens grow and become a worldwide mission 30 years later.  You will see the result of hard work, determination and destiny as each character becomes a part of God’s master plan for their lives.  The story will inspire you and challenge you.
