I am struggling with my review of Kevin McCullough’s new book, “No He Can’t”. Timing is everything and it seems poor timing to review this particular book in light of the capture and execution of Osama bin Laden.
Up to today, President Barack Obama has spent his presidency amid obsessive lies and dismal failures. He has not satisfactorily fulfilled any of his promises, yet succeeds in the one thing he never talked very much about—the war on terrorism and Osama bin Laden.
Having said that, let me just say that McCullough’s book highlights all of the lies and false promises, whether intentional or not, Obama made throughout his campaign and into his presidency. He talks about how Obama’s actions have affected American citizens and our country and how others see us. Obama’s primary goal appears to be the failure of the United States and he has used his office and his policies to assure this happens. From the economy to healthcare to the war on terror, Obama has criticized and ridiculed. He has thumbed his nose at small businesses and has blatantly lied to the public when he promised no tax increases. As McCullough states, “In modern history when it comes to being forked tongued, President Barack Obama excels well beyond imagination.”
McCullough seeks to hold the President accountable to “We the People”. He demonstrates how “hope and change” did not bring about the transformation that most voters thought they were getting when they voted for Obama. At the very least, McCullough will make you think about what is being said and promised to us by our leaders whether Republican or Democrat.

Hi Jill, I follow politics and current events a lot. I also review for Thomas Nelson and have seen this book but not reviewed it. I really don’t like slanted books and usually a book like this would be.
In the beginning of your review, you struggled a little with timing of this book. I don’t think that should have been a factor, because this is a USA victory and a military victory. Obama really can’t be created for something he voted against, ran against, spoke against, and dragged his feet on supplying the troops requested by the on the ground military leaders. This was a victory that came about because terrorist are taken to gitmo (which he ran on closing and repeated wanted to close) and interrogation that probably included some type of torture (few terrorist would just cough up intelligence without external pressure).
I think it is probably not a good timing for a few other reasons… it should have been released closer to 2012 when people are considering if they should re-elect Obama, and often this early in a president’s 4 year term there is not enough time to judge a president.
The one thing that saves the book is that Obama is not like other presidents and such a large cloud of lies surrounds him… I am sure volumes and volumes of tell all books will be coming out in years to come, since we still don’t have any solid history, documented and obtainable achievements, living or speaking relatives, and items are purged from the internet all the time that show conflicting, contradicting, claims.
From Bill Clinton, Americans learned to laugh at affairs and cover-up lies, especially for Democrats. From Obama, I still think the lesson is out of what we will learn.
