The Job: A modern-day parable of ancient troubles and truth

Craig Davis has taken a Bible story from the book of Job and transformed into a tale for our times.  Joe B. is a successful up and comer married to a beautiful woman and father to three children.  Unfortunately, a scheming bitter woman seeks vengeance on everyone who gets into the boss’ good graces and destroys Joe B.’s life.

Just as in the book of Job, family and friends offer Joe B. useless advice and Joe B. finds himself deeper and deeper in the depths of despair.  Filled with timely truths, Davis’ book is filled with humor even as he talks about suffering.

If you are searching for answers to life’s most common question, “why does God allow people to suffer,” then this book will provide clues in an easy-to-understand dialogue that will capture your interest and keep you reading.  A quick read, “The Job” is a great gift for someone struggling through difficult times.
