David Platt shows how to take back your faith

Do you know what it means to be sold out to Jesus?  Can you honestly say that you have abandoned everything to serve and obey God?  Everything means your family, your job, your dreams, your livelihood, your lifestyle, your wealth, and yourself.  Have you bought into the concept that God wants you to be rich?  Have you met Jesus?  Not once do we hear Jesus preach a prosperity gospel.  He didn’t come to save us from poverty; He came to save us from our sins and give us eternal life.

In a day filled with megachurches led by prosperity preachers, David Platt teaches us to take back our faith from the American Dream in his new book, “Radical” published by Waterbrook Multnomah Press.  Click here to read the first chapter, “Someone Worth Losing Everything For,” and discover radical abandonment to Christ.  Becoming a believer and a follower of Christ does not guarantee a shelter over your head, stable family relationships or safety on Earth.  To follow Christ in obedience requires letting go of everything the world says is important.
